Charming, Charming, Charming
I loved the amazing views of the fjord from our room. The sauna was a good treat after a long hike, melting all our worries away. Plus, the breakfast spread was generous-think fresh fruits, yummy granola, and delicious eggs to refuel us for our adventures!
totally recommend ❤️❤️

Good breakfasts, professional staff.
Easy check-in, parking on site. Best possible and comfy location for Tyssedal, near the fjord and the impressive building of the hydroelectric power plant nearby.

Receptionist was very helpful on arrival and supplied lots of information- went out of her way to assist. She also, on request, supplied a tea- service to our room. The room was a generous size with lounge suite, table and desk. Bed comfy. Extra pillows supplied on request. Nearby supermarket.
Lovely view but nearby factories seemed to work around the clock and ear- plugs required unless very sound sleeper.

The location in a very picturesque area was best possible and comfortable and there were supermarkets and shops nearby. The property was a couple of blocks away from Tyssedal downtown. A nice size rooms with an iron, an electronic key card, and a work desk, facilities worked well.

We were a little alarmed when we pulled up outside of this hotel as it looked rather run down and there was a factory sited right next door to it. However, looks can be very deceptive, and the inside of the hotel is very nice indeed, has recently been rennovated and is a comfotable, clean, boutique hotel! Our room was very spacious and we had beautiful views over the mountains and fjord. Our room was furthest away from the factory and we were not disturbed by it at all. There was little to do in the town itself but as we were only staying overnight this was not an issue for us. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable Stay with Scenic Views
Our family enjoyed a spacious room with fine fjord views. The breakfast was decent, but the highlight was the very nice dinner, one of the best we've had. Make sure to ask for help with your luggage if you have heavy bags, as the stairs can be a workout!

The hotel is housed in an old building, preserving its original feeling and great elegance. Our room was huge and included sofas and tables. The bathroom was big as well. The dining room is excellent and there are some nice rooms with tv, bar etc. All the hotel is decorated with paintings from Nils Bergman, a famous norwegian painter. The atmosphere is great, it is really a good choice if your looking for a refined setting. Maybe it won't fit the tastes of the youngest since it definitely does not feel modern at all (even if all the required facilities such as wifi are present)
Breakfast was not very rich. The hotel is situated near an industrial complex, definitely not good looking (but at least not noisy). The century- old atmosphere might look a bit spooky. The hotel is definitely overpriced.

The rooms are simply enormous. The view from our window was absolutely great. There are beautiful paintings everywhere - in the halls, in the restaurant, even in the room. It gives you an atmosphere of a museum. The staff is very friendly. The parking lot is pretty big and the breakfast was very good. One could complain for the price but I won'T. I think the hotel is very conveniently located and the prices in all hotels in this area are pretty high. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to this part of Norway.

Loved the spacious room with a fine fjord view! Plus, the drying services for hiking clothes were a lifesaver. The local art collection was a good surprise.

Food was very good. View was incredible of the Fjord. The history of the location and the building was very interesting. We used the hotel as a base for hiking to Troll's Tongue, and exploring the Hardanger region.
As with most things in Norway, the price of the room and food was astronomical. The noise from the Metallurgy Factory was bothersome at night and the factory itself, although interesting was not very appealing to look at.

There is a noisy factory and stevedore in the vicinity working day and night, seriously disturbing all guests of the hotel
